| Las Vegas 2005 What can I say about my first convention. I was looking for something interesting and different for a vacation when I ran across the convention web site. I decided why not? I was always a fan and I thought it would be fun. I met the most wonderful people I have ever met at this convention. I did not realize how wonderful they were until two weeks later when I was hit by Hurricane Katrina. It is no secret that the government left us here in Mississippi to die but these wonderful Star Trek people refused to abandon me. Everyone I met who had my contact information did contact me to see if I was allright. These people did not give up looking for me until they found me. I thought I left this convention with memories of a great party and some really cool souvenirs, I had no idea what I really brought home with me until after Katrina. Now that I know I will always be grateful to these very caring people. |
